ITRS Community Impact Week, 2023
At ITRS, we are committed to making a positive impact on the world. That's why we are excited to recognize, share, and celebrate the efforts made by our people around the world during our 2023 Community Impact Week.
Our Reading, UK office gathered to volunteer at Camp Mohawk, working together to clear brambles and improve the grounds at this retreat for children and young people with special needs and their families, located in the beautiful Berkshire countryside.
Meanwhile, our New York team joined forces with NYC Parks Stewardship to nurture and care for our local street trees. Volunteers helped ensure that the city’s natural resources are kept safe for future generations.
In Edinburgh, our team volunteered at Venchie to do gardening, painting, and DIY. This charity aims to improve the lives of children and young people in Scotland by offering opportunities for education, social development, improved health, and fun. It was rounded off with a large pub meal!
Our Stockholm office took on a traditional annual challenge of helping to clean up the Royal Djurgården, a beloved green oasis in the middle of the city enjoyed by city dwellers and tourists alike.
Our Manila team went all out, creating donation parcels of medicine, milk, food and personal care items to take to a home for poor, neglected, homeless and ill elderly people. They sat with the residents, talked to them, handed out the beautiful gifts and generally just brightened their day – and ours when we saw the images!
Some of the London office decamped to Mudchute Farm, a charity that offers a great country-style escape from city life for those with limited economic means. Mud being the operative word (note the Wellies!)...
Those who couldn’t commit to an entire day away from the office helped make up gift boxes of essentials for young children and families. The much-needed gift boxes will go to Ukrainian and Moldovan families.
This was followed by a well-earned office BBQ.
Our Alphen, Netherlands office had three activities. They spent quality time with people suffering from dementia at a nursing home. They worked hard to do some maintenance work at a nature/adventure playground. And their gardening skills were on display at a local visitor’s center, too!
All in all, a very successful Community Impact Week – in terms of activities and definitely in terms of spirit. We love giving back.
