Zetes Industries achieves faster MTTR with ITRS Opsview

Voice managed services provider Zetes Industries saw immediate improvement in its monitoring capabilities after deploying ITRS Opsview.

Visibility of the data usage and systems health across thousands of devices across Europe was a challenge for Zetes. It needed better monitoring to ensure its voice managed services customers were getting the service they required. Its previous monitoring solution lacked overall monitoring capabilities that made it a challenge to use.

With a device count of between 2,000 and 2,500 split geographically across customers in Europe, Zetes needed a solution which could monitor data usage and system health and also offer a viable managed solution to its user end customers. Zetes evaluated other monitoring solutions such as SolarWinds and Ivanti Wavelink, but Opsview’s scalable monitoring capabilities and global customer footprint sealed Zetes’ decision.

Zetes also wanted the ability to create SLA (Service Level Agreement) reports to provide tangible information about its performance directly to its end customers. Opsview provides this functionality out-of-the-box. For Zetes, the ability to automate the reporting and distribute them at predefined times and intervals, created a more efficient monitoring process.

Opsview is now Zetes’ primary monitoring solution and is in the process of being rolled out across other Zetes groups in Europe. The initial migration to Opsview was completed within a few weeks and all of the service checks used from previously deployed monitoring solutions were also included as part of the new deployment.

Immediate improvement

After the initial deployment, Zetes noticed an immediate improvement in its monitoring capabilities. Its IT team now has access to better dashboards which allow it to see the topology map of its entire IT estate. Zetes’ reporting capabilities have also been improved, providing better reporting for customers with quarterly reviews of their IT infrastructure use, capacity and SLAs.

With Opsview’s dashboards, engineers now have a clearer view of alerts and issues that arise within their business critical infrastructure. Through automatic scheduling of reports, the IT team is also now spending less time on manual configuration and can focus on resolving customer issues. Improved report scheduling means faster MTTR and better focus on customer issues.
