ITRS Group Partners with MapR for New Gateway Hub in Geneos

ITRS Group, the leading provider of real-time monitoring and IT operations analytics to financial services firms, has announced a partnership with MapR, a pioneer in delivering the industry's leading data platform for AI and analytics, both on site and across the cloud. The collaboration will see MapR software integrated with ITRS Geneos.

MapR software will be incorporated into ITRS’ ‘Gateway Hub’, a new module available to Geneos customers. This will make it easier for financial institutions to capture data and alerts and support a range of new capabilities including incident investigation, as well as smarter and more automated monitoring.

Mark Loader, Head of Product Management, Marketing & Partners at ITRS, said: “Our partnership with MapR gives us an integrated big data solution with improved security, scalability and ease of deployment when compared to the open source Hadoop stack. With Gateway Hub our customers will have access to real-time and historical data for all of their Geneos metrics, the ability to create more dynamic rules based on this data and simplified, centralised configuration. Customers will also gain access to an enhanced user interface for Geneos, which will be progressively rolled out”.

Martin Darling, Country Manager, UK at MapR said: “We are delighted to be partnering with ITRS Group, a leader in their field of real-time monitoring and analytics in Financial Services. Across the infrastructure of any financial services firm there is a huge amount of information that must be processed by technology and by people. Missing even the smallest detail can lead to down-time, missed trades and significant reputational risk.”

Alvaro Santamaria, Data Scientist at ITRS and Joel Brunger, System Engineer at MapR will give a joint presentation on ‘Lessons Learned with Visualisation and Machine Learning for Big Data’, at the J on the Beach conference on Thursday 24 May in Malaga.

Onboarding with MapR has commenced with go live expected in Q3, 2018.
