The Geneos Gateway Commands REST API allows programmatic, automatic triggering of Geneos commands, which take remediating action in the monitoring environment. This REST based API allows for some nice integrations and automation. This blog explores the REST APIs functionality, and shows examples of a couple uses. It shows how the API can run any Geneos command, not just Snooze commands. Also covered is getting a list of available commands, running commands with arguments, as well as creating a custom command on the gateway and running that command via the API.
